Review
This was one of the shows lined up for the charity Shelter and Warchild gigs, with entry by ticket only from a competition, or as I did buying them on Ebay!!
The gig was short and sweet SFA, only playing for barely an hour, and was a very stripped-down version of the normal set up of samplers, video, surround sound, percussionists etc.
SFA made up for this by playing songs that haven't been played so much recently for a change, and it was apparently requests, although there was what seemed to be a setlist by Dafydd! When requests were asked for there was a barrage of shouting that I doubt any of the band could make out much of what was said. Mountain People was sadly lacking because of the lack of the sampler, or as Bunf said, "because we haven't got the mountains, or the people!"
SFA played a cover of a Meic Steven's song, being unusual for an SFA set. They also played the much requested Ice Hockey Hair, a song I haven't seen them play in about 7 years or so, and finished their more rock than usual set with Out of Control, with no encore disappointingly, although the band did look completely knackered after the US tour, and in my opinion were not on their best performance.
Never mind, still short and sweet!
